Full description: Two toll bridges are slated for the I-10 corridor in the South, and a third may be on the table. One will be Alabama's new Mobile River Bayway, and another a rebuilt of the Calcasieu River Bridge in Lake Charles, Louisiana. A bit farther east, a new toll bridge in Baton Rouge may become a tolled crossing, a hint that was dropped by Louisiana's governor during congressional testimony last week. Also, the toll smishing scam running since March 2024 has just gotten a dangerous new upgrade by a Chinese cybercrime company, bypassing some protections and using official agencies' own trade dress to fool users. And congestion pricing could come to Boston, also, but not any time soon, say urban planners. ICYMI: Dallas Fort-Worth International Airport stops taking cash for parking on February 1.
