In this video: The last days are upon us to comment about a toll increase coming to the Thousand Islands Bridge; meanwhile, New York's governor is challenging a White House effort to roll back congestion pricing, and a fun run reaches out to Northern Virginia kids with five grants up for grabs. Danny Pryor reports for Turnpikes.com.
Full description: The Thousand Islands Bridge will see an increase in tolls Saturday, March 1, and the last day to comment about that toll increase is Friday, either on email or at the bride authority meeting in Alexandria, New York. In Manhattan, congestion tolling remains in effect following an effort by the White House to roll back the toll zone pricing plan. A new junction could be coming to the Pennsylvania Turnpike that would permit drivers to connect directly with I-70, and vice versa. And finally, five Loudon County, Virginia, schools will be getting PE grants for their participation in this year’s 'Run The Greenway' event, happening May 4th.
