Meanwhile, residents of a Houston suburb have made enough noise to force the realignment of a planned toll road near their neighborhood. And residents of the Grosse Ile Township south of Detroit are voting to determine whether to spend $59-million to buy their town's toll bridge to the mainland, over the Detroit River.
