E-ZPass, In Brief

E-ZPass is the second largest transponder pass network in the United States. It used to rank first, until Florida Sunpass Pro became compatible across a larger number of states.

E-ZPass is issued by several states across the Midwest to New England, and south through the Mid-Atlantic states. It is compatible with myriad other networks, as well, including North Carolina's Quick Pass, Illinois' I-Pass and Florida's Sunpass Pro, E-Pass Xtra and Uni. It is also the only network pass that can be used in Michigan, but only on the Bay City bridges.

It is essentially a discount transponder for those living in the Greater Parkersburg area of West Virginia, as well as those living along the Ohio River in Ohio, notably in the adjacent town of Belpre.

MovPass is not interoperable with other systems.
