FasTrak is California's electronic toll network, but it is not operated by any statewide agency. Instead, local tolling authorities issue the FasTrak, be they in the San Francisco or San Diego area. The Transportation Corridor Agencies south of Los Angeles also issue a FasTrak.
Regardless of which agency issues the FasTrak, it is compatible across California. The FasTrak is not compatible with networks outside the Golden State.
